Monique Bishop is a graduate student at Indiana East University and also an online writing tutor at University of Maryland University College. In the 1960s and 70s, she was a professional singer, actress, and dancer, performing musicals and nightclub performances on the New York stage and in dinner theatres and summer stock companies across the country. For the past 22 years she has owned and operated a small dance studio in Florida. Now, semi-retired, she has aspirations of teaching online college classes in rhetoric and composition. Of course, Bishop intends to integrate art in all of her classrooms.
